Prostittues in SL? No Way!
So, prostitution is back on the front page (“Dude, I’m Not a Prostitute”, SL Tribune Tuesday July 20). Here’s a relatively simple way to reduce the problem. Publish and prosecute. Publish the names and address of all men and women that are engaged in this trade, when they are caught in police conduct sweeps or “stings.” Prosecute, including fines coupled with DNA and STD testing. Let the good people of Salt Lake know that this is a crime that will be punished.

hhhmmmmmm I wonder if we could do this for our elected officials in the Senate and Congress.......... Better think about this a little bit............ we might not have anybody left to fight for our religious and moral beliefs?!
ReplyDeleteRingo,
ReplyDeleteAre you suggesting the DNA/STD and background checks for our respected elected officials? Not a bad idea, maybe we should have that as part of the requirements for public office!
Or are you suggesting we publish a story about them ever time they take a donation, or solicite money for "chartible causes"? List the amounts, the donors, and the receipients. Hmm.
I don't feel this should be illegal. Make it legit pay taxes and more revenue for the country. Same thing with pot. Why should we care about the sex lives of of public officials? As long as they do there job. So be it. I think Barrack and Michele do it and ofter ;) and he is doing just fine by the Country in my book!
ReplyDeleteHey Hunk,
ReplyDeleteWhat I am suggesting is anyone caught participating in this type of behavior be exposed. Especially in our government. Half the time those who speak so vehemently against homosexuality, prostitution, and pornography are the ones who participate in the arena they're speaking against! DNA or STD testing doesn't achieve anything other than cost the tax payer more money. It doesn't solve any problem. Exposing them is enough. Would you have a relationship with anyone you knew had these particular tastes??? STD testing is only as good as your last encounter. You could have a lot of partners in a month!
As for powerfulblond ( love the name!) I agree, the personal lives of our public officials is none of our business BUT if he is preaching abstinence or against homosexuality then has the gaul to go onto a male chaperone website saying he wanted this cutie to haul his bags as he has a bad back, is not only hypocritical but infuriating. Or going to the mens bathroom at an airport and playing footsy under the stall with the person next to you............ how do they know where to go....???
Ringo..the reasons for DNA/STD testing, and photographing, are simple. STD testing allows local health departments to notify individuals they are "carrying" and to give them the chance to notify others they may have infected. Fngerprinting and DNA testing could lead to the possible apprehension of those involved in other, more serious crimes.
ReplyDeleteMr Hunk....... having been single during the AIDS and herpes epidemic, I can tell you that no one was notified if a partner was HIV positive. Chicken Pox, measles and mumps yes........... but not HIV???????go figure
ReplyDeleteHealth dept here offers a method of notifying previous partners if you desire. just a thought.
ReplyDeleteIf you desire? strange isn't it that HIV is "if you desire" and other infections mandatory to report.
ReplyDeleteHey- nobodyy says it has to make sense!
